Spring Fragrances & PartyLite Treats

Mother's Day is coming and if you're still frantic finding the perfect girl for your special mum, then keep reading. I was contacted by PartyLite to have a little look at their newest collection just ahead of Mothers Day. Thank you PartyLite! If you haven't heard of them, then I suggest all you candle hoarders get clicking over to their site, they have a full range from candles, tea light holders, wax melts to home fragrances. I am a sucker for candles and home fragrances, so when the box of PartyLite products arrived, I was very excited...

All of these products are from the SmartScent range. The first thing I pulled out of the box were 2 tea light holders with little butterfly motifs on the front. I think these could be great for a wide range of people, from teens to butterfly lovers to people who just want a subtle pop of colour and fragrance.

The interior of these holders have a beautiful colour inside to add a little more interest to these. How sweet - it's all about the details!

I think these would be perfect as separates but also sit together as a pair too...

These are one of my favourites I think. They smell utterly divine and they have such a strong citrus scent which is almost good enough to eat! These would add the perfect lift to any room and are the perfect gift if your Mum is a fan of citrus smells. They are tea light candles and they do burn for a fair time each and would look brilliant in the tea light holders mentioned above! The pop of yellow against the pink and lilac would look lovely!

Then there is the crème de la crème of the collection. This is a large GloLite 2 wick candle....

The scent is called Berry Blossom and also a yummy light spring fragrance. Again, this is a light airy scent and is very uplifting (great for a relaxing Sunday with a glass of champagne in hand.) The scent makes me think of British fruits, strawberry picking in the summer and summer fields in the countryside. The smell makes me feel instantly calm and comforted. Mother's Day is vey close and if your mum is a candle lover then I think I would choose beauty....

The candle claims to be the 'world's brightest candle" and the box explains that with the textured wax, this helps to create a soft glow with a strong fragrance.

I also received something else but I didn't want to overload too much with images as there is lots to look at already. So I will do a post very soon on that.... I cannot wait to show you all!

Until Next Time

Catch Ups & Prosecco - Lola Jeans

Just a quick one... Okay so a few months back I met a friend at Lola Jeans Newcastle. I've heard lots about this venue but hadn't managed to get there until this visit. I was surprised how small the venue was. But not a bad thing! Quite lovely and intimate with a cosy relaxed vibe - perfect for catching up with friends.

I love the interior of this place. You don't know where to look first! It is eclectic, quirky with an arty vibe. From the chandeliers to the skull wall mural, the original herringbone wooden flooring, exposed beams right down to the grandfather clock and the mix match of seating screams Newcastle Eatery of the moment.

I'm not sure if the wall mural is hand painted (I do suspect it is) or if it is digital but I couldn't stop starring at it. In the midst of a vintage collection, this contemporary stencil style piece really does stand out!

I ordered the sweet potato fries which were so moreish with a glass of prosecco...

If you have any recommendations of stylish/delicious places to eat in the city then please let me know in the comments!

Raw Juice & Antioxidants

This time of year everyone seems to be on a health kick. I am not the healthiest person but I am striving for this year to be healthier than before this year. I have always been into sport & fitness since being young and still running now but would love to be adding weights work and yoga into my routine too. Let me just say I am always looking for something healthy that also tastes delicious. This ticks all those boxes! Introducing the Naked Detox Pressed Juice from The Naked Deli....

If you hadn't heard The Naked Deli is a fairly new clean deli which serves tasty food, completely clean & paleo (they do take out too for those of you who are like me and have a busy schedule!) It also happens to be very tasty and pushes the boundaries with the usual clean diet... What's not to love?!

A while back they developed a range of cold pressed juice drinks and this is one of them. They have a whole menu which tells you all ingredients in each one so you know exactly what you're putting into your body. I chose this one which is made from apple, grapefruit, lemon & ginger. The colour of this is mouth watering to start with but it really does taste amazing and just when you think you've tasted it all the lemon & ginger adds a nice kick too.

The Naked Deli really are setting the pace in the health game. They have now developed a Naked Skin juice with Dr Esho - founder of aesthetics company Le Beau Ideal. This can be bought as a detox and claims to help skin look younger and hydrate skin. As someone with problematic skin over the years I think skin hydration is super important!

For those of you who also appreciate well thought out packaging, this really is for you. Good sized bottle fit for purpose - check, well designed label and graphics with ingredients plain to see - check and seal label just for good measure - check!

I really can't recommend this anymore for anyone out there reading this hitting the gym, yoga or even just people who are conscious about what goes into their body. Tastes delicious and it really is clean! It's that simple.

If this one doesn't take your fancy then they have a whole range of pressed juices so why not drop into their store on Chillingham road or call into their consession at Fenwick, Newcastle. Raw juices full of antioxidants in an array of rainbow colours all pure and natural.... I really can't say anymore. My mouth is watering just thinking about all of the flavours! Hit up The Naked Deli and tell me what's your favourite juice in the comments...

Until next time...

Peaches Boutique & Rose Gold Delights

Recently I won a little competition online for a cute boutique. In fact it is Peaches Boutique. I wasn't expecting to win anything so this was a lovely little surprise when they announced the winners! There was 3 prizes up for grabs and I came 2nd. So as you can see I won this lovely Geneva watch and anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for accessories so this couldn't be more perfect for me!

As you can see, the watch is white with gorgeous rose gold details and a diamante ring detail around the face. The strap is a silicone type material which is a nice contrast to the metal detailing. The white fits my style very well and I love that it is minimal so I can wear it with a tonne of outfits!

Just adore the rose gold sections of this pieces, and rose gold is still a popular trend.

I would pair this with a rose gold piece I have from Kayleigh Falcus Jewellery. I love the white on white look but this watch would also look lovely with a range of different coloured accessories & outfits.

If you want to get your hands on one of these head over to Peaches Boutique over on Facebook. Good news ladies, you can get your hands on one of these for only £13.00! (also available in black)  Click HERE to get yours.

Until next time...

Camel Coats & Fine Jewellery

On NYE I headed out to get some fashion shots. I have been really excited to get some fashion posts and "what i'm wearing" posts up on here and hope to continue doing so.
I suffer from the cold a lot so I'm always on the lookout for warm but practical pieces for my wardrobe!

First let me tell you how in love I am with these images! It would not have been possible without  photographer Richie Schaapkens, make up artist Colleen Carrah & fellow blogger/hair stylist Zoe Heseltine (Zotonixe.)

So if you're looking for something this style but you're on a bidget you'll be pleased to know this was very low cost from highstreet stores.

The coat is a current Primark buy and for a gorgeous sand shade and it is wool, I didn't think £25 was bad for a nice cut and shape.

My boots are very old New Look and paid £5 for them in a January sale a good while back! (super comfy and get lots of compliments on them)

This scarf is soo cosy and can be worn a few different ways - which I love. It also gives a nice contrast against this colour coat. Also a Primark buy from last year.

Moving on, my shirt is a lovely utility style shirt is a gorgeous powder blue shade. Layered under the sand coat it makes me think a lot about Ralph Lauren's classic colour palette. Again, Primark and cost me £10 and worn it so much already!

My necklace is a gorgeous design from Achica which I treated myself too. I may do an independent post on this so keep a look out. It is just a simple gold circle pendent but I really do love geometric shapes and feel this fine piece of jewellery really finishes my look off.

My skinny fit jeans are from H&M and they are a great fit for my shape. Being petite I do find it difficult to get a well fitting jean with a short length on the leg. However, I find these very good, with lasting colour, shape and at a good price I can't argue! (I have them in black, navy and khaki!)

Can we all just to take a minute to appreciate the amazing work of Colleen & Zoe and Richie for capturing it! Please check out their work with the links at the end of this post - they seriously are cool cats!

Hope you like this outfit and feel inspired, let me know if you have any wintery staple buys which you just have to have in the comments.

A huge thanks to the amazing team, without them this post would not have came to life how I imagined it. Follow their work via the links below:

Cheekbones & Highlight From Heaven

So in this age of make up and all things beauty, us girls all seem to be in search of a highlighter. I was recommended the Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skin Finish powder highlighter by Mac Cosmetics.

Okay so, for a redhead or anyone who is fair.... I really do recommend this shade. It really is soft but has enough highlight glow for you to completely fall in love with it! The shimmery shade really is a delicious sun kissed glimmer and sits perfectly on the skin (also available in 3 other shades for different skin types.). I swear by this now in my everyday make up look. It retails in the UK for £24.00 and I find it to be worth every penny!

So as you can see, this is a shimmery pressed powder highlighter which applies very well to skin. I find nothing more annoying than buying a beautiful looking highlighter then when you apply it, it is very hard to work with and get a result. This however is the opposite. So easy to work with and I just use a simple angled contour brush and apply the part of my cheekbone in a swooping upward motion, to my temples and a little to my jawline to accentuate my features.

As you can tell (by the spam of images in this post), I am also madly in love with the packaging of this. Sleek, simple, black and compact. It's totally fit for purpose, fits in my make up bag if I need it on the move and has a lovely secure snap shut to avoid spillages.

Oh, and what's ever more great is this has lasted me forever! Months and I do use it very frequently! What's not to love about this Mac highlighter?! If you're looking to buy, this is available at counters and also online HERE.

Until next time...

Making the most of every day...

So, I plan to be doing a lot more fashion posts on this blog although I'm not restricting myself purely to just fashion. So recently I organised a shoot with Rich Schaapkens (who is very talented.) The shoot was for a little Outfit Of The Day post so I could share more with you guys what my style is, where I like to shop and some of my staple winter items. And not to waste any more time I managed to squeeze this shoot in on New Years Eve day!

I am also a freelance model as well as blogger so I do have a wonderful network of creative which helped me out on this shoot. Hair is be fellow blogger & hairstylist Zotonixe // Shear Madness Hair Design. Make up was thanks to the lovely Colleen Carrah Make Up Artist & Beauty and photography, as earlier mentioned was Rich Schaapkens Photography. I am too excited and really want to share the final images but until then here is a little look at what we got up to....
