Statement Jewellery: Dare to Wear

I think by now, we all know I'm a totally jewellery & accessories lover. Jewellery can totally transform and outfit and the way you feel. Certain jewellery pieces of mine somehow allow me to feel more confident or sophisticated or fun (you get the idea, depending on the design.) Over December I was in Primark picking up some wardrobe staples and had to have a mosey around the accessories section.

 

I am a complete sucker for rose gold, whether its jewellery, home accessories, nail polish. I can't get enough. I got my eye on the full finger ring which was reduced to £1. What a steal! The ring is 1 coil of metal (rose gold coloured obv) and dusted in diamantes, gently nestled in claw settings.

 

 

 

 

 

When the light catches this, the diamantes really twinkle. The full finger effect creates a statement head turning piece which has made for lovely compliments when I've worn this.

 

 

 

 

I am seriously loving either fine pieces or slightly ambiguous statement pieces at the moment! And this fits the latter. The coiled metal is sturdy so the coil doesn't nip the skin which is a plus.

 

 

 

 

So if you're looking for minimal effort of upgrading your outfit, the dare to wear a full finger ring - or even better... a two ringer ring!

Have Faith in Winter Jewels

As winter approaches with the mind boggling selection of knits, textures, weaves, layering, pleats, patterns, prints and such on offer sometimes simplistic accessories really do take an outfit from everyday to polished. Crossify contacted me to do a little review of their Solid 9ct White Gold Cross Pendant. Crossify are new and stock a whole range of silver & gold cross pendants.

 

 

 

After waiting patiently for the postman, the pendant arrived in a black envelope and once opened revealed a little black box. (argh jewellery mail is my favourite!) Inside the box, there it was nestled on the black velvet inlay.

 

 

 

 

 

As you can see the pendant is solid and very minimal. For a winter wardrobe, I think this would be styled in so many ways! Over a chunky knit jumper, with a pinafore and roll neck or even with a crisp white shirt. You can see on the bail that it is stamped and the cross itself is a smooth finish.

 

 

 

 

In mission to wear this as soon as possible I purchased a twisted sterling silver chain online. I thought this was a perfect for it to be strung around my neck (although the options are limitless, you could hang it on leather, cord, suede, snake chain, cable chain, box chain, rolo chain etc. I guess it depends on what kind of look you're going for and this is part of the charm of buying a pendant on its own. You can style it up anyway you feel!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No fiddling neither, with this pendant the bail is a good size so my chain just slipped straight on. Which makes for good interchanging chains when you're on the move. Recently I have been styling mine with a navy knitted jumper. The white gold shine really does stand out against the blue and is a lovely go-to piece for those mornings when you're in a hurry. The thing I do love about this particular pendant is that its design allows it to be worn by guys and girls. Out with your fella and he needs to upgrade his outfit in an instant? Jewellery Watch: Mirror Image Accessories

Jewellery addict like me?! When Mirror Image Accessories approached me with some of their beautiful pieces, I was intrigued to find out more... I had seen their pieces online and knew they were laser cut mirrored Perspex pieces but the photos don't do them justice. They are actually even more beautiful in person so you can see the detail up close.

 

 

 

 

The first pieces I want to show you is this gorgeous teal mirrored piece with a distinct art deco feel. This Gold Mirrored Kite Brooch is lovely worn alone, pinned to a tote bag or clamped onto a luxurious cosy scarf to keep the cold out. I'm forever cold in the winter so I live these months cocooned in layers so this piece is great for keeping your scarf in place. And at this price point, it's an absolute steal!  Really catches the eye against darker colours...

 

 

 

The last piece is so dreamy. I adore the harsh geometric shape of the Gatz Necklace and again is beautiful against black and the autumn colours of this season. This is hung on a long chain which is a nice variation from the other pieces in the collection. Again, a white crisp shirt and a pair of skinnes really rock this look. We all know party season is ahead of us (numerous Christmas parties & celebrations) so for a busy girl about town, I would recommend this piece. Peaches Boutique & Rose Gold Delights

Recently I won a little competition online for a cute boutique. In fact it is Peaches Boutique. I wasn't expecting to win anything so this was a lovely little surprise when they announced the winners! There was 3 prizes up for grabs and I came 2nd. So as you can see I won this lovely Geneva watch and anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for accessories so this couldn't be more perfect for me!

 

 

 

 

As you can see, the watch is white with gorgeous rose gold details and a diamante ring detail around the face. The strap is a silicone type material which is a nice contrast to the metal detailing. The white fits my style very well and I love that it is minimal so I can wear it with a tonne of outfits!

 

 

 

Just adore the rose gold sections of this pieces, and rose gold is still a popular trend.
